Granite Pillars in County Wicklow

A pair of pillars we built in Rathmichael, County Wicklow using reclaimed Wicklow Granite Quoinstones. We re-dressed the stones and cut them to size for use in the pillars and then fitted a Granite coping.

Retaining wall built in Granite in County Wicklow

A retaining wall in Rathmichael, County Wicklow in which we built panels of Wicklow Granite in between hardwood panels. The work is random rubble and the joints are flushed.

Granite Stone Cladding to Entrance Pillars in Dublin City

Granite cladding we fitted to a set of entrance pillars at the Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Dublin City. The pillars were previously rendered and this was removed to allow the cladding to be fitted. The cladding is 50mm thick Granite and is rockfaced whcih gives the impression of a full depth natural stone. This type of stone can be fitted to any existing building, wall or pillar and has greatly enhanced the appearance of this entrance.

Stone Wall in Ballymena, County Antrim

A garden wall we built with steps to break a split level between garden and driveway in Ballymena, County Antrim. We also carried out the paving work. The stone is County Antrim Basalt and the pointing is Raised Pointing or Strapping.

Entrance to Church in Burnfoot, County Derry – Londonderry

An entrance and pillars we built at a church in Burnfoot, County Derry/Londonderry to replace an existing false stone entrance. The stonework is random rubble style and the joints are pointed up flush. The copings are reconstituted Sandstone.

Pillars built from Limestone in Maghera, County Derry Londonderry

A set of pillars we built from Limestone in Maghera, they have a ‘Castle’ effect coping and we built a post box into one pillar. We sand blasted the house number onto a stone in the other pillar.

Stonework to entrance at Drumaheglis Marina, Coleraine

A set of four round pillars and wing walls built using County Antrim Basalt at Drumaheglis Marina, Coleraine. The wing walls are rendered smooth sand and cement and are finished with a stone coping.

Stonework to walls at Arthur Cottage, Ballymena County Antrim

Stonework to walls at Arthur Cottage, Ballymena County Antrim

Stonework around a ramp and steps which connect a split level yard in Arthur Cottage, Ballymena. The stone used is reclaimed stone and the walls are built using traditional lime mortar. The coping is a half round concrete coping with exposed aggregate.

We also built the steps using limestone setts and flags.
