Stonework to Porch, Sunroom and Chimneys in Portglenone, County Antrim.

Porch, Sunroom and Chimneys built in Brown/Blue  Sandstone mix in Portglenone.  All stones were dressed square and we used sandstone cills in this project. The steps are black granite and there is a corbel in the chimneys which also have a sandstone coping.

Porch and Steps built in Black Limestone in Rasharkin County Antrim

This porch and steps were added to a house in Rasharkin which was being renovated to add value and character to the property.  The Black Limestone has been used for both building the porch and for the treads of the steps. The window cill is also limestone.

Stone Cladding to New Dairy Unit in Greenmount Agri College, Antrim

Basalt Cladding fitted to the new Dairy Unit at Greenmount Agricultural College. The cladding is 50mm thick and was used both inside and outside the building.

Porch and Sunroom to dwelling house in Toome, County Antrim

Porch and Gable of  Sunroom built with Brown Sandstone random rubble in Toome, County Antrim. The random rubble sandstone is used to give a more rustic or natural character.

 

The posts and heads to the door and windows in the porch are also sandstone.

Black Stone Sunroom to house in Maghera County Derry – Londonderry

Sunroom built with County Antrim Basalt, the client on this project wanted his house to look like it had been built onto the sunroom so used a zinc roof and wider joints on the random-built Basalt stonework to give the impression that the sunroom was part of an old building.

Porch and Garage Front in Bellaghy County Derry – Londonderry

Porch and garage front built with Liscannor Slate, there is no mortar shown in the joints giving the impression that the stone is built dry. The Weber render, black window frames and Liscannor Slate stonework complement each other well in this project.

Bellaghy Chapel, County Derry – Londonderry

Extension, repointing and renovations to Bellaghy Chapel. New stonework is County Antrim Basalt to match in with existing stone. All new work is pointed in lime mortar as per the rest of the building.

House built with County Antrim Basalt dressed so as to keep some of the natural brown colouring on the face of the stone.There are reclaimed brick quoins and heads on the windows and doors.

Maghera Dwelling House

Porches, sunroom and garage front to house in Maghera built with mixture of Brown Sandstone, Red Sandstone, and Blue Centre Sandstone dressed square. We dressed stones to make self-supporting straight heads over the windows so we wouldn’t have to use unsightly steel lintels.
